A Love Letter
Dear One,
Here we are, humans on Earth.
We agreed to take this journey, knowing that it wouldn't be easy. We were warned.
The times are volatile. The leaders are corrupt. The environment is toxic. The fabric of belonging is deeply torn. There are very few rituals and traditions to keep you grounded, to help you remember your mission. You must stay very strong, very focused, there will not be much support.
Despite the warnings, despite the knowing that the odds are not in our favor, we chose to be here.
There is much to be done, and we are doing it. Despite the volatility, the corruption, the toxicity, there is so much kindness. There is so much beauty. There are new ideas being born every minute of every day. There is a tenderness and a gentleness that is finding its home on this planet in the hearts of millions.
You are showing up. You are loving. You smile at strangers. You allow cars to come in front of you on the highway. You donate food and clothing. You hug your children and tell them you love them. You send get well cards to friends who are struggling.
You notice a beautiful sunset. You marvel at the dewdrops on the spiderweb. You smile at the sweet scented breeze as it carries the fragrance of honeysuckle or milkweed.
All of these small ways of loving, of being present to the beauty that overflows this world, they are paving the way for the next stage of life of Earth to blossom.
Your open heart, open mind, willingness to grieve and love and heal...all of this is making a new world possible. You are laboring for a new humanity. It will not be in vain.
I see you. I am in awe of you. I thank you. Our work is not easy, seeing the places where we fall short can be so painful, and yet you keep looking within to find more ways to bring love into being. You are doing it, we are doing it.
Love,
me
